Stay on topic. For the benefit of all involved, please keep your messages relevant to the topic being discussed.
- While we recognize and welcome the international scope of Corel's newsgroups, English is the predominant language of these discussion forums. If your message is in a language other than English, you may find that posting in the international areas quicker and more responsive.
- If you find you have a problem with another user that you cannot resolve on your own, please e-mail us at keith.trottier@corel.com
- The preferred method of communication is through these forums, as other users can benefit from the answers to your questions, as well. Do not contact users by e-mail unless specifically asked to do so.
- Keep your messages easy to read. ASCII text that is 76-characters wide, will appear neatly laid-out in virtually every news reader.
- Do not post messages with large attachments. This will cause problems for users who download and read the newsgroups offline. If you have a component or application that you wish to share, post a message with its description and offer to mail it to interested parties, or make the item available on the Web.
- Posting advertisements or solicitations that do not pertain to the intended use and purpose of the newsgroup is not permitted.
- When posting your message, please ensure that you are using the newsgroup specific to the product. Please do not repost your message multiple times as it only causes unnecessary duplication and delays. Your message will appear provided that it conforms to these rules and regulations. If you are not sure which group is best, mention this in your post and ask for suggestions.
- Corel does not offer any formal support in the public newsgroups. Instead, Corel staff and C-Tech volunteers monitor and moderate the newsgroups to ensure that the smooth flow of information and messaging guidelines are maintained.
- Do not upload, post, transmit, transfer, disseminate, distribute, or facilitate distribution of any content, including text, images, sound, data, information, or software, that:
- incites, advocates, or expresses pornography, obscenity, vulgarity, profanity, hatred, bigotry, racism, or gratuitous violence.
- misrepresents the source of anything you post, including impersonation of another individual or entity.
- provides or create links to external sites that violate these Rules and Regulations
- is intended to harm or exploit minors in any way.
- is illegal or violates any local and national laws that apply to your location; including but not limited to child pornography, illegal drugs, copyright material and intellectual property not belonging to you.
- is intended to threaten, stalk, defame, defraud, degrade, victimize, or intimidate an individual or group of individuals for any reason; including on the basis of age, gender, disability, ethnicity, profession, sexual orientation, race, or religion; or to incite or encourage any one else to do so.
- intends to harm or disrupt another user's computer or would allow others to illegally access software or bypass security on Web sites, or servers, including but not limited to spamming.
- attempts to impersonate a Corel employee, agent, manager, host, C-Tech, another user, or any other person though any means.
